Because we believe the Bible is relevant to our lives. We use a method called Discovery Bible Study (DBS) which enables people to read the Bible and discover what it has to say to them.
Discovery Bible Study is a simple and effective tool to guide your discovery of the Bible in personal Bible Study and in group study. Simple, memorable questions allow participants to understand the character of God, encourage them to obey what they are learning and help them to share it with others.
For individual or group discussion. Start by answering these questions.
What am I thankful for?
For challenges in my life, family, community, and world.
How did I obey? Who did I share it with?
Read a passage of Scripture and then answer these questions.
Group Discussion includes the following: One person reads the passage, and one person re-tells the passage in their own words. It’s powerful to hear perspectives, and it’s good practice for sharing too.
What do I learn about God?
What do I learn about people?
What has the Holy Spirit revealed to me, and how will I obey it this week?
Who can I share this with this week?
