Marion Payne grew up in Salisbury, Maryland. He graduated from Midwestern School of Evangelism, Indian Hills Community College, and Mount Mercy University, and currently works for BAE Systems as a Staff Software Engineer. In 1976, he married Ruthie Prather and together they have been blessed with 4 children, their spouses, and 10 grandchildren. He has served on the board of directors for 2 organizations: a church planting organization called Christian Evangelistic Mission (Iowa), and a health mission called His Hands Free Clinic (Cedar Rapids). Marion enjoys vacationing with family in Ocean City, Maryland, serving the church, and flying model airplanes.
